I think it is a bad company move to sell a product without recent map update capabilities. My company will return all iway GPS systems brought for world wide customers because of this issue. The hidden concept behind this idea...SUCKSW!!!

This link allows you to update the firmware in the 250c... not the map data. It appears Lowrance has abandoned customers who bought the iWay 250c. I'm in the same boat. I plan to chuck my iWay 250C and purchase a new GPS... and it definitely won't be a Lowrance product! I once thought highly of Lowrance, but any company that refuses to support its products should be boycotted.

They have abandomned these both, there are no further updates.
they are very old units, would be better off buying a new one vs. getting lost
