The desire to know exactly where you are and where you are going is one of man’s oldest concerns and pastimes. Navigation and positioning are definitely so important to many of man’s activities, that the process can be quite unwieldy and challenging for him. These are the reasons why GPS satellites were invented – to give an idea for man on where he is and where he is going.

As some people know, for several years, all kinds of technologies were invented and implemented to attain this particular objective. But as you know, not all were applicable or successfully accurate.

Then, the US Department of Defense finally planned that the military should have an accurate form of worldwide positioning. And with lots of money – around US$12 billion – they managed to concoct something that was worth the investment.
