Re: Uses for Differential GPS?
Despite the accuracy produced by basic GPS, man’s instinct is to ask for more of anything. Hence, “Differential GPS” was invented to correct the inaccuracies in the present GPS system, as well as enhancing its accuracy even further.

Re: Uses for Differential GPS?
Yes, that is certainly the case. Moreover, due to the enhanced system, Differential GPS can provide very accurate positioning estimations within a couple of meters, and even much more accurate estimations of non-moving objects.

Re: Uses for Differential GPS?
Because of this enhanced version of GPS, it does not just become a mere tool for the navigation of boats or airplanes, it also becomes a universally accurate measurement tool for locating and positioning objects anywhere in the world.

WAAS-Enabled Gps system
WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) is the Differential GPS system designed by the United States FAA. WAAS was originally intended to enable aircraft to rely on GPS for all phases of flight, including the precision approach to airport's within its coverage area.
I have written an article on the "WAAS E-nabled Gps system" and how it works, you can read it at this link:
