Looking for a pc program to add pois and maps into 1200?

I think Magellan doesn't offer additional maps for the 1200. I don't think that it would be possible.

This mean that Magellan won't provide any map updates for this device.

No, Currently Magellan has not provided any additional maps to the pre-installed maps. It does not mean that there no updated maps.
