Are the files that ur transfering in the mp3 format or some other format???? Coz the device only recognizes MP3 Music files....

Yes they are mp3 files with the .mp3 extension 128 bpm 44hz.
Could it be that there is a limitation on the length of the file name????

Its possible.. but do the sample audio files on your device play??????

Sample wud be be great to check but there are no sample files on my device....

Try creating a the Mp3 folder in the main system n then tranfer the music n check think dat

I tried putting the mp3 files in the root folder of the SD card.. does not seem to work. i think i read that the Nuvi does not search folders for music but nothing specific on the manual....

I have a problem too the mp3 files get recognized on my device when i place them in the root folder but the album art is overwritten each time a new album is added..

Well try this Create a folder named "Music" on the internal device memory, also create a folder with the same name on ur SD Card. transfer ur mp3 files in the folder...
Note: files outside the "Music folder" will not be recognized.

thanks Mp3's work fine and the appropriate album art is displayed for the song playing.
